Responsibilities of the Intern:
- Define, build, and execute the delivery process from the delivery station to the customer’s address.
- Ensure sufficient bandwidth in the territorial delivery team for effective peak-time delivery management.
- Engage closely with the delivery team, including associates, to develop and maintain a highly motivated and performance-driven team.
- Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and effective people management skills.
- Improve the delivery process by implementing process and training improvements.
- Initiate improvements to enhance quality standards, reduce waste, and eliminate unnecessary work.
- Implement formal process control and process improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen.
- Analyze data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Use analytical skills to interpret information, identify key facts, and review alternatives to determine advantages and associated risks.
- Demonstrate good communication skills, both in conveying information to individuals and the team.
- Communicate objectives and expectations for the Delivery Center/Amazon, fostering understanding among team members.
- Exhibit strong listening skills to gain input and commitment from all involved in delivering their specific part.
Requirements:
- Graduation. MBA desirable.
- People management experience. Experience in handling team is highly desirable.
- Experience in handling live operation preferred (wherein decisions have to be taken on the spot and actions needs to be initiated right away)
- Knowledge of city topography and road network is an added advantage
