About the Organisation

Decathlon Sports was founded in 1976 in France. We aim to make the pleasure and benefit of sports accessible to everyone across the globe and we do that by providing world-class products both for enthusiastic beginners as well as passionate professionals at extremely affordable prices.

In India, it is our aim to do our best to help Indians play more by paying less for their sports equipment. It is our commitment to attract and nurture talent to create growth opportunities in-sync with our progress in India. 

Decathlon Sports has been present in India for more than 10 years and our first cash and carry flagship store was set up in May 2009 at Sarjapur in Bangalore. As of September 26th 2018, we are at 65 stores spread across India with further expansion plans.

About the Job Opportunity

  • Mission: Teammate & Customer engagement to enable teammate pride and awareness of actions of Decathlon towards sustainability.
  • Start: At the earliest
  • Location: Bangalore (Decathlon Anubhava – Survey No 78/10, A2, Bellary Rd, Chikkajala, Bengaluru, Karnataka 562157)
  • Duration: 6 to 8 months.
  • CTC: 3LPA (no higher bracket for the right candidate)

About the SD project:

At Decathlon our purpose is “To be useful to our planet and our people”. In India over the last few years, we have taken 10 commitments, we call them our Happy Community Stances for Decathlon India. These actions come under six categories: Climate actions – Clean Energy, Water actions – Water Conservation and Recycling, Circular Economy – Second Life and Waste Management, Eco Design – Eco-Design Products and Sustainable Component, Eco Transport – Eco Mobility, People Action – Employee wellbeing, Sport for School Children and Employability at our factories and local communities. All these actions are also aligned with the SD Goals of the United Nations.

Roles and Responsibilities

Mapping and Acceleration for Communication, Engagement, and Training for teammates and Communication, Engagement for Customers.

Teammate engagement:

  1. Mapping SD training on Decathlon Academy for all levels
  2. Organizing SD Training for All and “climate frisk”
  3. Preparing the network of trainers for “SD Training for All and Climate Frisk”
  4. Cleanup day engaging all Decathlon India Sites event plus customer Awareness and Communication

Customer engagement to raise Awareness:

  1. Content development for SD with the Communication team
  2. Building the Communication calendar for 2023
  3. Green events like “Cleanup day”

Eligibility

  • Passionate about sports and Sustainable Development and want to make a contribution to reducing our impact on our planet.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working as a team of teams with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Have a working knowledge of Sustainable Development, training, project management, and reporting.
  • Have good communication skills (oral & written)
