Centre for Environment and Energy Development (CEED India Development) is a solution-driven organisation which works towards developing inspiring solutions by creating an enabling ecosystem to scale-up investments in low carbon development pathways and accelerating climate action. Roles:

  • Initiate, conduct and execute research-based projects.
  • Provide technical research support to energy programmes on Renewable Energy & Power sector and Just Transition scenarios.
  • Identify and implement research with various tools from time to time in Energy domain.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, networks and alliances to develop issue positions, strategies and intervention plans.
  • Leverage the knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques and experiences of various approaches like data visualisation and computational skill.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Foundational degree in engineering is a prerequisite.
  • Graduate degree in economics, development economics, public policy, energy economics or related disciplines such as energy management would be desirable.
  • Master’s degree in related disciplines would be preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience with a track record of project assistance and timely delivery of outputs.

Requirements and skills:

  • Sound understanding of renewable energy and power sector scenario in India.
  • Proficiency in using MS Excel; prior experience in use of statistical tools like MATLAB/STATA/R/Python.
  • Prior publications in peer-reviewed journals/book chapters would be a bonus.
  • Experience in networking with Government Departments/agencies, industries & business associations, and research institutions working in the energy sector is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and research skills and proven ability to deliver high-quality work.
  • Excellent writing, editing and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment.
