The SDG Coordination Centre (SDGCC) in Panchkula, established in partnership with the Government of Haryana, focuses on advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the state. As an intern at SDGCC, you will contribute to data analysis, research, and reporting efforts that drive transformative change and development impact.

Role Overview:

Under the guidance of the Regional Head (North Region) and direct supervision of the Monitoring & Evaluation Lead, the intern will support SDGCC’s mission by assisting with data management, analysis, and reporting related to the SDGs. As part of the team, you will help create tools for data collection, participate in monitoring events, and contribute to the roll-out of SDG initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data analysis toolkits and forms/questionnaires
  • Manage and clean data for accurate analysis
  • Assist in creating M&E reports and documents
  • Contribute to SDG Dashboard & Mobile App development
  • Participate in workshops and events for monitoring
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders effectively
  • Carry out additional tasks assigned by M&E Lead

Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work with web-based applications
  • Knowledge of data collection and analysis in social or economic development
  • Understanding of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from relevant fields (Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Applications/Information Technology, etc.)
  • Familiarity with tools like SPSS, SAS, Tableau, Power BI is a plus
  • Fluency in English; local working language is an asset
  • Own laptop for work is required
  • Flexibility and ability to travel locally

Working Arrangements:

  • Monthly stipend as per UNDP Internship Policy
  • Full-time commitment with flexibility for education programs
  • Interns responsible for medical insurance
  • Interns responsible for travel and visa arrangements
  • Internship duration must start within one year of graduation
