As Manager, Design, you work closely with the Communications Director and the CEO on branding and design. This role offers an excellent opportunity for creative professionals looking to develop an established brand.

Responsibilities

As a Manager, Design

Design online and offline recruitment campaigns to bring in 650+ Fellows to serve more than 250+ schools across eight cities each year while ensuring design consistency from the application stage to the first day of Fellowship.

  • Study Segments and Market Research for designs that appeal to digital natives 
  • Support the Recruitment and Selection team brand their events, campaigns and outreach 
  • Create a set of merchandise in alignment with the overall Recruitment campaign 
  • Ensure periodic refresh of annual campaign through fresh photography and design 
  • Create brand and message-aligned outreach content for Corporate and Campus recruitment campaigns

Oversee all external designs for Teach For India. This includes our 2.4 million Social Media footprint, our website, newsletters, reports and visual communication.

  • Develop a diverse design language and templates that are unique to platforms while keeping in mind the brand guidelines
  • Support the CEO and other verticals with impactful designs 
  • Recruit interns, consultants designers to the team 
  • Ensure effective vendor management and printing
  • Conceptualise branding and design for events and collaborate with verticals to execute decore, design and visual content for the event
  • Maintain and update our brand repository and find creative ways to help other verticals stay brand aligned.

As a People Manager 

  • Building a robust pipeline of talent to lead the organization
  • Managing and coaching the Directors in the cluster to ambitious outcomes
  • Driving engagement, growth, and retention of team members
  • Engineering and overseeing a monitoring and evaluation system, coupled with strategic direction, to guide our abilities to continuously improve

As a Manager at Teach For India

  • Contributing to the team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities
  • Serving as an ambassador of the Teach For India brand and an advocate for our work and for educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication after commiting time in our classrooms to understand our work more deeply
  • Supporting with key organizational areas such as Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, Movement Building

Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations

  • You will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic design, communication, design, fine arts, or a related field
  • 4+ years of work experience in design, both online and offline platforms
  • Intermediate or Advanced proficiency in Adobe Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Strong team and project management skills and flexibility to accommodate multiple projects simultaneously, with tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations

  • Proven track record in developing and leading comprehensive design solutions and executing large-scale campaigns
  • Relevant work experience in brand strategy, visual communication and development
  • Prior agency experience
