Eligibility Criteria for the King Fahd University Scholarship:
For Master Programs:
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- A GPA of 3.00 or higher on a scale of 4.00 or equivalent and a GPA of 3.00 in the major subjects of the field.
- Applicants must submit English proficiency test scores. Details about English proficiency requirements are also provided in this article below.
For PhD Programs:
- PhD applicants must have an MS Degree (after a bachelor’s degree) in engineering or sciences.
- Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3 on a scale of 4 or equivalent in both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
For MBA Programs:
- Applicants must have a completed undergraduate program from a recognized institution and hold a bachelor’s degree.
- Applicants must have knowledge of computers working as evidenced by at least one course in these areas, e.g., data processing, programming, information systems, etc.
- A Grade-Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 or equivalent.
- Applicants must have at least one college-level calculus, which covers both differentiation and integration.
- Applicants must have at least one year of full-time work experience. This requirement may be waived for research assistants, graduate assistants and applicants with exceptional academic records.

Required Documents for KFUPM Scholarship in Saudi Arabia:
- Copy of Identification (National ID for Saudi Nationals, Passport for international applicants and Iqama for residents of KSA).
- Complete official transcripts (the transcript should contain names and grades of all courses taken).
- Three recommendation letters from your academic referees are submitted through the online system that you will get after submitting the application.
- Statement of Purpose (a one-page essay which describes your research and career goals at KFUPM).
- A passport-size photo with white background (this is optional for females).
- CV briefly mentions your education and work experience.
- GMAT (Just for International MBA applicants).
