Department of Forests and Wildlife, Govt. of Delhi is inviting applications for the Internship Program to provide short-term exposure to youth about the workings of different sections of the Forests and Wildlife Department.

Internship Period:

  • The duration of the internship will be decided by the Department based on the selected domain, not exceeding 90 days. Extensions may be granted in exceptional cases.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to students from recognized schools, institutions, and universities.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Various educational qualifications considered based on the chosen domain.

List of Domains/Areas for Which Internship Is Available:

  • Conservation of Delhi Ridge
  • Forestry Management
  • Planning and Monitoring
  • Protection of Forests and Resources
  • Wildlife Management
  • Training
  • Policy and Legal Issues
  • Human Resource Management
  • Information Technology
  • Accounting

Procedure for Application:

  • Interested applicants must apply online on the Department’s website.
  • Applications should be submitted three months in advance, specifying the desired internship period and area of interest.

Selection and Modalities:

  • Applications will be scrutinized by the Research Advisory Committee on a merit basis. Preference given to innovative ideas aligning with the Department’s requirements.

Terms and Conditions of Selection:

  • Each Guide can have a maximum of 10 interns.
  • Interns must submit a detailed account of their work.
  • Interns may be asked to participate in related activities.
  • The final product of the internship is the Department’s intellectual property.
  • Interns shall be under the discipline of the Department.

Logistics & Support:

  • The Department will provide facilities like transportation and printing of study material.

Experience Certificate:

  • Upon successful completion, interns will receive a “Certificate” along with a grading based on their performance.

Stipend:

  • No stipend will be paid.
