About CYSD
CYSD (Centre for Youth and Social Development) is a non-government and non-profit organization established in 1982, working to improve the quality of lives of tribal, rural and urban poor in Odisha, with a primary focus to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, ensuring social inclusion and justice, good governance and citizen’s right. Helping communities identify and initiate development measures; providing training and other capacity-building support to pro-poor organizations and individuals; and carrying out research and advocacy in favour of the under privileged people especially the tribal.
About CYSD’s Internship Program
CYSD’s Internship Program is a unique program where students (18+) and young professionals from different background, locally or Internationally join CYSD for a month or more to exchange their skills and experiences and also get a hands-on opportunity to acquire direct exposure to CYSD’s work.
During the process, the interns are guided by a mentor who will be guiding them in with practical experience in various thematic fields. Every attempt is made to match the interests of the intern with the needs of the organization.

Duration
- Minimum Two months duration
- Internships are unpaid
- Out of pocket allowances may be considered to exceptional cases
