Eligibility Criteria of the CERN Technical Studentship Program:

  • Applicants must be nationals of a CERN member or any associate member state. 
  • Applicants must have completed at least 18 months of their studies (Bachelor’s or Master’s) with a specialization in an administrative field.
  • They must remain full-time enrolled students during the CERN internship program.
  • Applicants must have good knowledge of French and English. But any English language test proof is not required.
  • Students who are specializing in experimental or theoretical particle physics are not eligible for this program. 

Financial Benefits of the CERN Technical Studentship 2023:

  • Interns will get a 4 to 12 months contract to work with CERN. 
  • Furthermore, interns will get an allowance of 3407 Swiss Francs/month (net of tax).
  • Depending on the interns’ circumstances, a supplement is also provided if they are married or have children.
  • In addition, interns will also receive a travel allowance (that includes Economy Class Tickets. 
  • CERN will also provide a health insurance scheme.
  • Interns will also get 2.5 days of paid leaves per month.
