- TISS introduces a sectional cutoff of 35% (14 Marks) for the GK section in the TISSNET.
- TISS introduces a new shortlisting test – TISS-MAT – for HRM and ODCL applicants.
- TISS MAT or TISS Management Aptitude Test will account for 30% weightage in the final selection (stage 2), while the PIT or Pre Interview Test will account for 40% of the weightage and Personal interview will account for 30% weightage during the final selection process.
- TISSMAT follows suit of other MBA entrance exams by introducing negative marking of 0.25 marks for every uncorrect answer.
- TISSMAT will be conducted on the same day as TISSNET for all applicants applying for the TISS HRM&LR & ODCL program.
TISS MAT: For HRM&LR and MA ODCL Programs
Candidates applying for MA (HRM&LR) and / or MA (ODCL) programmes, are required to appear for the TISS Management Aptitude Test (TISS-MAT) in addition to the TISS-NET Examination. The TISS Management Aptitude Test (MAT) will be conducted immediately after the TISS-NET examination.
NEGATIVE MARKING: Each correct answer will fetch 1 mark and each wrong answer will result in 0.25 negative marks.

The TISSMAT brings a new level of difficulty for aspirants who are hoping to get into TISS for HRM and ODCL. Adding to all this is the negative marking introduced for TISSMAT.
