- Employment Status: Short-term contract for 2 Months Full Time

- Salary: Rs.25,000/per month.
Project Details
The study aims to document the experience and perspectives of the kind language used by physicians when consulting with patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).Using virtual Focus Group Discussions (FGD),approximately 12-15 patients with T2DM (mix of male and female )will be interviewed to understand their feelings,thought, and experience with how their physician talked and referred to their illness. We will recruit 3 RAs One per city (i.e., Chennai , Hyderabad , Trivandrum) in order to conduct one FGD each in these cities . We will provide appropriate ,requisite training too conduct an FGD .
The RA will be guided by Dr. Tejal Lathia (Endocrinologist ) and Dr. Mahati Chittem (Psychologist) .
Key Tasks:
- Identifying and recruiting eligible participants to the study.
- Conducting the virtual FGD .
- Transcribing the FGD.

Skills required:
- Fluency Tamil/Telugu /Malayalam (for respective cities )
- Translation abilities to English .
- Basic interviewing.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Good time management, planning and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Date collection and management skills.
Education qualification
- Bachelor and Master’s degree in Sociology /Anthropology /social sciences closely associated with ability to do interview.
- Applicants with an MPhil and /or PhD degree can also apply .
