As a Business Development Manager within Amazon Services, you will have an exciting opportunity to shape and execute a strategy aimed at facilitating the widespread adoption of Amazon Services by small/medium sellers and large enterprises in India seeking to sell globally. You will also play a key role in influencing product selection on global Amazon websites. The primary objective of this position is to drive continuous new business growth for Amazon’s suite of seller services across businesses of all sizes by recruiting third-party sellers who offer competitive pricing and a wide product selection.

Working in a dynamic sales environment, you will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing agreements with third-party sellers. Your success will be measured by the product selection and revenue that your clients bring to the platform. Your responsibilities will encompass defining key retailer segments to target, building seller relationships, and managing day-to-day interactions with these companies to foster long-term business opportunities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to think strategically about business, products, and e-commerce challenges while effectively conveying compelling value propositions to sellers of all sizes.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Understanding Amazon Services products and services and effectively communicating their functions and benefits to external audiences.
  • Assisting in defining the seller base and industry verticals to target and influencing a sales plan aligned with our global seller business direction.
  • Collaborating with key internal stakeholders to set priorities and establish account targets that align with category strategy and local market knowledge.
  • Tracking and reporting performance using appropriate metrics, aiming to achieve productivity and seller satisfaction targets.
  • Engaging with internal and external customers/teams to enhance products and business processes.
  • Identifying specific prospects/partners to approach, communicating the unique value proposition for their business and use case, and building long-term, successful partnerships.
  • Working closely with senior executives at interested sellers to negotiate deals and facilitate onboarding.
  • Reviewing and monitoring the performance and sales of key partners to manage their performance.
