About Research Strategy Internship

The Spring Program is a 6-month internship program designed as an opportunity to learn more about the important role that Fixed Income Research plays within the Firm. This structured program is designed to give interns insight into this division and an opportunity to develop and master the analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills needed to develop an exciting and rewarding career. The training will continue throughout the course of the program with structured learning sessions run by senior executives. 

Interns will also have many opportunities to integrate with peers and senior colleagues through a series of networking, social, and mentoring events.

Responsibilities of the Intern:

  • Work with fixed-income research strategists globally to develop and maintain data analysis infrastructures.
  • Acquire, clean, maintain, and analyze data sets to identify trends and patterns.
  • Develop quantitative models using econometrics and machine learning algorithms.
  • Build web applications to monitor market movements and develop interactive tools to make quantitative models user-friendly.
  • Respond to bespoke data analysis requests from clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Automate delivery of reports and data packs to clients.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Financial Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, or Economics.
  • Experience with statistical model development, modeling best practices, and methodologies in the areas of data processing, sampling, and model design/specification.
  • Hands-on experience in any programming language (Python, C++, Q, Perl, JavaScript).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Genuine interest and understanding of financial markets.
  • Analytical, insightful, quick learner, team player, and multi-tasker with a positive attitude.
