About the Research for Impact Fellowship:
J-PAL/CLEAR South Asia presents the Research for Impact Fellowship (RFI), a transformative initiative designed to empower Indian PhD scholars. Our aim? To nurture a community of academics generating robust, policy-relevant evidence across India.

Fellowship Breakdown:
Stage 1: September 2023 – December 2023 (Part-time)
Undertake the online MITx MicroMasters course – Designing and Running Randomized Evaluations. Gain in-depth insight into designing and implementing impactful evaluations.
Pass the proctored exam to proceed to Stage 2.
Stage 2: March 2024 – August 2024 (Full-time)
Support an ongoing J-PAL evaluation in India for at least two months. Acquire hands-on experience in real-world evaluation implementation.
Participate in comprehensive courses on primary data collection led by J-PAL staff. Learn about choosing indicators, survey instrument design, piloting, and field protocols.
Receive mentorship from esteemed senior staff at J-PAL South Asia.
