Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is an Indian political party prominent in the state of Odisha. The party is led by Naveen Patnaik, the current Chief Minister of the state and son of former Chief minister Biju Patnaik, after whom the party is named.

The research wing for the Members of Parliament of the Biju Janta Dal, known as PRI, has vacancies for the position of Research Analyst in New Delhi.

Job Description

  • You will undertake research from both primary and secondary sources of data
    (which are verified and reliable) for the Members of Parliament (MPs) of the Biju
    Janata Dal both from the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha, both sectoral and
    functional in nature.
  • You will support the MPs in preparing their Parliamentary work which they perform at their respective House at the Parliament which includes all
    Qualifications forms of questions, submissions, legislation debates, Bill Submissions and Resolution Submissions as Private Members.
  • You will be responsible for tracking important developments in certain sectors, prepare analysis of legislation pending in Parliament, and write thematic briefs on important policy issues.
  • You will support the Members of Parliament in case they want to publish Op- Eds on various subjects in traditional or digital media.
  • You will be required to support the Members of Parliament in various associated activities with the above.
  • You may be required to begin work in the position on an urgent basis once selected.

Qualification of Candidates

  1. Education Qualification: Minimum Graduation, Post-graduates and scholars from the background of Law, Public Policy, Development Sciences, Economics, Political Science and/or any relevant field.
  2. Candidates with a LAMP Fellowship background or similar policy work experiences will be given preference.
  3. Candidates with a legal education background will be given preference.
