About TechSakhi:

TechSakhi is a digital safety helpline for women and LGBTQIA+ persons run by Point of View, a Mumbai-based non-profit that works on gender and technology. Piloted in February 2022 in Hindi, TechSakhi has served hundreds of callers with accurate and personalised information on countering online harassment and increasing digital security. The helpline provides empathic, confidential and empowering support.

About the Opportunity:

  • Job Specs: This is a full-time position.
  • Job Location: Anywhere within India; this is a remote position. You must be extremely comfortable working remotely.
  • Remuneration: Competitive salaries within the non-profit sector
  • Reporting: To TechSakhi’s Project Lead
  • Start date: 15 December 2022 (negotiable)
  • References: Names of two professional references, including one referee from the last three years

If that’s you, you have:

  • A successful track record of building and maintaining large number of partnerships in the social sector
  • Experience engaging low income communities (Desirable: previous experience engaging government and corporate actors)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and persuasively with external partners
  • Excellent Hindi language skills
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and networking aptitude
  • Proactive and hands-on – ready to roll up your sleeves and do what’s needed

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Researching, developing and executing a strategy to establish a digital safety network of 200+ organisations and agencies
  • Maintaining, deepening and formalising relationships with existing partners to increase awareness of TechSakhi, including ensuring regular communication and messaging on digital safety and security.
  • Identifying and building new partnerships in both the grassroots and larger civil society space through meaningful engagement on issues of technology and gender, working closely with Knowledge and Marketing Leads.
  • Establishing a network of organisations as referral services for TechSakhi, specific to target States, and in accordance with the needs identified in partnership with the Operations Manager
  • Building relationships with other helplines, including key government helplines
  • Representing TechSakhi’s brand, values and objectives to various stakeholders
