Introduction:

The Office of Relief Commissioner serves as the nodal authority for managing, responding to, and providing relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction during natural and human-induced disasters in Uttar Pradesh. We are responsible for disaster management legislation, policy-making, and integrating disaster risk reduction into development plans. Our collaborative efforts with the Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority aim to build a safe and disaster-resilient state through proactive and technology-driven strategies.

Objectives:

  1. Strengthening the institutional structure of disaster management in Uttar Pradesh.
  2. Implementing effective measures to reduce the impact of disasters.
  3. Providing prompt and transparent relief operations to affected communities.

Internship Opportunities:

  1. Data Analysts
  2. Content Writers

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Eligibility: Students pursuing graduation, post-graduation, and above in fields like disaster management, data science, data analysis, mass communication, social work, and rural development.
  2. Prior Experience: Prior experience in relevant fields will be considered an asset.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and relevant tools/software for the chosen internship area.
  4. Demonstrated Interest: Interest in development, disaster risk reduction, and a willingness to learn.
  5. Desktop/Laptop: Access to a working desktop/laptop for remote internships.

Premier Institute Applicants:

  • Candidates from premier institutes such as IIM, IIT, TERI, TISS, IIMC, etc., will be given preference.

Language Skills:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Hindi is essential.
