The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is offering an exciting opportunity for Young Professionals to join its regional offices. This one-year contract, extendable up to three years, involves creating engaging content, designing graphics, and crafting impactful messages for government communication in various Indian languages. Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: A Master’s Degree/Diploma in fields such as Journalism, Mass Communication, Visual Communication, Literature, or Creative Writing.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of work experience after completing the Master’s Degree/Diploma, preferably in communication, design, marketing, animation, editing, or book publishing.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in both English and the Indian language of the respective state/UT where you will be deployed (mentioned in Para 5.5).

Responsibilities:

As a Young Professional, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with government departments to create communication materials.
  • Writing and editing content for press releases, speeches, and policy briefs.
  • Designing visually appealing graphics, including infographics and social media posts.
  • Developing and editing videos to convey key messages.
  • Ensuring all communication materials align with branding and messaging guidelines.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Selection Process:

  • The selection process will adhere to government procurement rules.
  • It may include a written test and an interaction with an Expert Committee.
  • Candidates shortlisted after the written test will proceed to the interaction round.

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • Rs.50,000 to Rs.60,000 per month. Remuneration varies based on the regional office and language proficiency.
  • Travel and accommodation expenses for official work are covered.
  • Leaves and maternity leave benefits are provided.
  • Taxes are deducted at source, and Goods and Service Tax (GST) is applicable.
