About IDBI

The IDBI Bank Limited is a subsidiary of Life Insurance Corporation providing financial and banking services. It was established in 1964 as Industrial Development Bank of India, a development finance institution, which provided financial services to industrial sector. 

Eligibility

I. Nationality

Candidates must be either

  • (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee (who came over to India before 1st January 1962) with the intention of permanently settling in India or (e) a person of Indian origin, who have migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar (formally Burma), Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) or (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by Government of India.
  • The candidate, in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be provisionally admitted to the selection process conducted by the Bank, but on final selection, the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate have been issued to him/ her by the Government of India.

II. Age (As on May 01, 2022):

  • Minimum – 28 years
  • Maximum – 45 years

III. Education

  1. Deputy General Manager (Grade D):
    • Graduation in Law with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 or above (55% marks/ CGPA 6 or above for SC/ST/PWD) from any University recognized by Govt. of India or its regulatory bodies. Preference will be given to the candidates having Master’s Degree in Law.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience as a practicing Advocate or law officer in Banking and Financial Service of which at least 5 years should be as a practicing Advocate or as an officer in BFSI/ARCs/ Law Firm.
  2. Assistant General Manager (Grade C):
    • Graduation in Law with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 or above (55% marks/ CGPA 6 or above for SC/ST/PWD) from any University recognized by Govt. of India or its regulatory bodies. Preference will be given to the candidates having Master‟s Degree in Law.
    • Minimum 6 years of experience as a practicing Advocate or law officer in Banking and Financial Service of which at least 3 years should be as a practicing Advocate or as an officer in BFSI/ARCs/ Law Firm.
  3. Manager (Grade B): 
    • Graduation in Law with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 or above (55% marks/ CGPA 6 or above for SC/ST/PWD) from any University recognized by Govt. of India or its regulatory bodies. Preference will be given to the candidates having Master‟s Degree in Law.  
    • Minimum 3 years of experience of which at least 2 years should be as a practicing Advocate or as an officer in BFSI/ARCs/ Law Firm.
