Position Summary:
As the Senior Associate, Impact you will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating Akanksha’s programs and interventions, both at the Schools and Central level. You will work with the team lead to refine and implement data collection tools; convert qualitative and quantitative data into reports and graphics for multiple purposes across the organization. You will work with various teams in Akanksha to reflect the result in Akanksha’s strategy and operations, and on funding proposals, reports/presentations, and other internal and external communication material.
Overview of the Team:
The Impact team plays a key role in collecting and using data to measure the impact of the School program. The team works with metrics like enrolment, attendance (students, parents, teachers), retention and assessment scores for all the 21 Akanksha schools. The team interprets data & analyzes results using statistical techniques and provides reports to various stakeholders (internal and external). The Impact team also acts as a database and seeks to acquire data from primary or secondary data sources on Akanksha as well as the education landscape nationally and internationally.
What your role will entail:
- Assist in developing and maintaining a Monitoring & Evaluation framework for the organization to strengthen the focus on results and impact of Akanksha programs by improving the organization’s ability to identify, communicate and maximize the impact of the work done.
- Managing and continually improving Akanksha’s data collection methods, instruments and reporting parameters in order to effectively meet strategic objectives.
- Implementing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and deliverables for central teams.
- Converting the data into reports, presentations and dashboards with relevant tools.
- Managing the EdERP across Akanksha’s operations, overseeing its utilization and generation of reports through it.
- Responsible for the smooth functioning of EdERP (NetSuite) and other software in coordination with IT team.
- Capacity Building of teams across the organization to ensure adherence to data collection processes, data quality standards, documenting, understanding and interpreting results.
- Creating a database of statistics and reports on the education sector, nationally and internationally.
What you need for this Position Experience:
- 2-3 years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Prior experience in social impact data collection and analysis desirable.
- Proven experience in analyzing data, which enables sound conclusion and recommendations to be drawn.
- Experience of developing and implementing a robust monitoring and evaluation system that will ensure tracking of project/ programme results at different levels (outputs, outcomes and impact).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in Data Management skills: maintaining databases, developing and implementing data collection systems, data mining & analytics (Descriptive & Predictive analytics).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Forms) and data visualization tools (Data Studio).
- Knowledge of EdERP (NetSuite preferred) & Statistical Software (SPSS, STATA preferred).
- Report writing skills: Ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts & data trends so as to prepare and present concise reports.
- Knowledge of major quantitative & qualitative monitoring methodologies and proven ability to design monitoring instrumentation tools.
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple tasks, work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively with various teams.
- Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving skills in tackling organizational problems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Education:
- Master’s degree in fields such as Social Sciences, Maths, Statistics, Economics, Business,
- Accounting, or a recognized relevant professional qualification in monitoring & evaluation.
