Notes on the roles

  1. We invest in people and spend a considerable amount of time developing capacity to ensure you are ready to execute your role. We are looking for candidates who can commit at least the next 1.5-2 years towards this work. If you are thinking of a Masters in one year or are looking to switch jobs often within this timeframe itself, these roles aren’t for you. We intensively support all our employees in their future career pathways, within or outside of OFC but we expect the same reciprocity and honesty.
  2. As we grow, so do salaries and other employee benefits. Growth at OFC will not be linear for you, financially and otherwise. Most of our employees have had their salaries grow by 100 to 200% after a year.
  3. We are looking for self starters and folks that are able to work without constant supervision. Before you apply, we would encourage you to think if you are able to work remotely, without the constant presence of someone reminding you to work.
  4. The work we do can be emotionally draining. We provide mental health support, leaves and other care support to ensure that you don’t get burnt out. However, while applying we urge candidates to self check if they feel emotionally prepared to take on work focused on social justice.
  5. All roles are full time, paid and hybrid (remote while the pandemic is ongoing). All roles may require travel post the pandemic (20-30% of your time – is indicated against your role) but costs for that will be covered by OFC and we will accommodate candidates unable to travel for medical, caregiving or other reasons as well, if selected. All roles require you to budget about 1 day a week of in person work in your city of residence based on the city you are located in, if we have a larger team in that city or have on ground work presence in that location, the nature of your work and COVID situation.

We are a small organisation and need a dedicated team to make a sustained impact. Please keep all above factors in mind while applying.

Notes on the selection process

  3. The form will take 25-30minutes for filling out. It includes questions around basic information about you, your CV, 1 writing sample (of which one should preferably be published) and asks a few specific questions regarding your role. Apply here: https://forms.gle/Z7RrUqTDJ1krKUpo6
  4. If selected, you will have to undertake a time bound assignment. This assignment will take 4-6 hours of your time to complete.
