Position Description

This position is career-building role for an entry to mid-level professional who is interested in pursuing a career in Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) and Environmental & Social Governance (ESG). The role entails working within the IMM & ESG department of one of India’s pioneer Impact Investing firms, supporting data management processes and providing insight on impact and ESG issues to aid the investment process.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidation and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data sets to assess and report on impact and ESG
  • Providing on-going support on impact and ESG, including but not limited to, assessing the due-diligence reports of new investments, creating impact benchmarks and KPIs for new investments, monitoring of on-going impact-creation and ESG management efforts of investments and Group company operations
  • Assisting with quarterly and annual reports for the Company’s board and LPs
  • Assisting in the Group’s Annual Impact Report
  • Assisting with development of training and educational materials on new trends in Impact and ESG
  • Assisting in updating Company’s Impact and ESG policies from time to time
  • Support other sustainability projects as needed

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 2-3 Years of relevant work experience in the Sustainability/ Impact Investing/ PE space
  • Financial Modeling, data management, analysis, and visualization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting guidelines and frameworks (e.g. CDP, TCFD, GRI, SASB, UNGC, UN SDGs) is a plus
  • General understanding of diverse ESG topics and Sustainability topics and trends is a plus
  • Graduate with Specialization in Finance or Economics or / Post Graduate Degree in Finance.
