The Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP) is looking for interns to work on a project on Urban Land and Property Markets for 8 to 16 weeks with the Growth, Finance, and Development vertical.

About the Organization

The Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP) is an independent, public policy think tank with a mandate to conduct research and analysis on critical issues facing India and the world and help shape policies that advance sustainable growth and development.

About the Project

The report attempts to answer important questions about inefficiencies in India’s urban land and property markets. We investigate property price patterns in urban areas, as well as the supply and demand factors that influence them; recent movements in property markets, and what has been impacting current price trends. We also look at more static elements like urban planning in different places and how it affects property values. These factors have a major impact on the policy environment that will be required to rectify India’s land and real estate markets in the future.
