Applications are invited for the Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation Scholarship for the Academic year 2021-22 from students in their first year of graduation pursuing the courses.

About the Scholarship

The scholarship is instituted in memory of the Founder of Federal Bank, Shri K P Hormis. Scholarships are offered for the following courses:

  • MBBS
  • Engineering
  • B Sc. Nursing
  • MBA
  • Agriculture (B.Sc) including BSc (Hons) Cooperation & Banking with Agricultural Sciences conducted by Agriculture Universities.

Students from the following identified states are eligible to apply for scholarships.

  • Kerala
  • Tamil Nadu
  • Maharashtra
  • Gujarat

(Students are requested to submit copy of Nativity Certificate)

Admission Criteria

  • Students applying for the scholarship should have secured admission under merit in Government/Aided/Government Recognised self-financing colleges during the Academic year 2021-22.
  • Annual family Income of the students applying for the scholarship should be less than Rs.3 Lakhs and an Income Certificate issued by Village Authorities to substantiate the same is necessary.

Scholarship Details

  • One seat in each discipline will be kept aside for physically challenged students, which shall be duly evidenced by a certificate issued by a Medical Officer not below the rank of DMO or an approved Medical Officer of the Bank. If applications are not received under physically challenged category, it will be utilized under general category.
  • Selected students will be reimbursed 100% of tuition fees and other educational expenses paid as per the fee structure of the college, subject to a maximum of Rs.1 Lakh per year. Students are eligible for one Personal Computer (PC)/Laptop (maximum Rs 40,000/-will be reimbursed) during their course of study (within the overall limit of Rs.1.00 Lakh per year).

Scholarship for the Wards of Martyred Armed Forces Personnel

  • Annual Income criteria is NOT applicable to wards of martyred Armed Forces Personnel.
  • In the case of wards of martyred Armed Forces Personnel, evidence showing the same must be produced.
  • All other conditions are the same as general category.

Scholarship for Speech/Vision/Hearing impaired students

  • Students of this category who are pursuing all Degree/Graduation courses or above listed professional courses offered can apply for the scholarship.
  • Speech/Hearing/Vision impairment shall be evidenced by a certificate issued by a Medical Officer not below the rank of DMO or an approved Medical Officer of the Bank.
  • All other conditions are the same as general category.

How to Apply?

  • Scholarships can be applied online through this link.
  • Students are required to visit the nearest Federal Bank Branch (with the required documents) only on receiving intimation from the Bank via mail.
  • KYC documents of the students (in original) have to be shown while visiting the branch.

Important Instruction

  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Visit the Federal Bank branch at the place of domicile of the student along with the Originals & copies of the above documents for verification.
