Position Overview: Associate/Manager, Healthcare

As the Associate/Manager for the healthcare sector, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a comprehensive policy portfolio covering pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics. Reporting to the Managing Director of India operations, you will analyze the regulatory landscape, formulate advocacy strategies, engage stakeholders, and contribute to policy discussions and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze the regulatory environment and craft coordinated advocacy strategies for sustainable business growth.
  2. Monitor policy developments, track changes, and assess their impact on members, products, and operating models.
  3. Engage with government officials, regulators, and key stakeholders to address regulatory issues and opportunities.
  4. Facilitate meetings between USISPF members and key stakeholders to advocate on pertinent issues.
  5. Manage programs and events within the healthcare portfolio, including budgeting and securing sponsorships.
  6. Contribute to public policy and advocacy activities, draft responses to consultation papers, and represent the organization in conferences.
  7. Ensure regular engagement with member companies, collect policy views, and assist with membership renewal.
  8. Research potential new members and contribute to the growth of the Forum.
  9. Contribute to the preparation of knowledge papers, reports, and sectoral representations.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of healthcare sector experience, with consulting/advocacy background as a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a relevant discipline), master’s degree preferred.
  • Basic familiarity with India’s culture, political structure, government functioning, and business environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent skills in research, analysis, writing, speaking, and client relations.
