Objectives:
- Manage the Operations of Kisan Koushal Kendra which involves training of farmers and other stakeholders on crop management practices.
- Create, nurture and sustain community platform of lead farmers at village level to address the last mile delivery issues of agriculture extension services to small and marginal farmers
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Plan and Execute implementation of Kisan Koushal Kendra center in consultation with Deputy Manager – Collaborate with partners and local stakeholders to improve the dissemination of selected crop management practices among the farmers :
- Support and build capacities of community facilitators in performing their role.
- Network with local stake holders like public extension system, Panchayat Institutions, to strengthen the lead farmers platform – Identify the right fit farmers for lead farmer role through the defined selection process and involving the partner organisation
- Institutionalize the lead farmer platform at village level and block level
- Plan and organize different engagement activities as part of sustenance of the lead farmer platform – Identify the problems in the process of nurturing community platform of lead farmers and come up with possible solutions
- Report project performance to management team on a periodical basis.
Competencies Required:
- Experience in working with rural/ farming community and multiple stake holders like Govt. bodies
- Deeper understanding of Agriculture and allied sector
- MS office
- Networking skills
- People Management skills
- Communication skills
Eligibility
- Educational: MSc/ BSc Agriculture
- Preferred:
- Has experience of conducting program related surveys
- Has worked in community driven development initiatives
- Experience: – 2.5-3 years of experience.
