Introduction:
The APU MEXT UR Scholarship for 2024 is a fully funded scholarship offered by the Japanese government to international students from countries with diplomatic relations with Japan. This scholarship supports master’s and PhD degree programs at Asia Pacific University (APU) in Japan, covering full tuition fees, monthly stipends, and travel expenses. Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants should have completed their education at a university where English is the primary language of instruction.
- Prospective students must plan to study in Japan from a foreign country.
- Hold citizenship of a country designated by MEXT.
- Applicants must be born on April 2, 1989, or later.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.30 on a 3.00 scale in their latest academic institution.
- Applicants currently serving in active military duty or working as military civilians during the application period are not eligible.
- Recipients must be able to arrive in Japan within the specified arrival period.
- Applicants must not have received a MEXT scholarship in the past unless they possess more than three years of educational research experience after the final payment of their previous MEXT scholarship.
- Applicants cannot apply for more than one MEXT scholarship simultaneously.
- Recipients cannot receive financial support from other scholarship organizations while studying at APU.
- All scholarship recipients must have “student” as their status of residence (visa status) in Japan.
