About the Fellowship

The Transformation Fellowship is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that aims to support Transgender youth to craft their career goals. In partnership with Tata Institute of Social Sciences and Collective Good Foundation, the one-year program supported by Pernod Ricard India Foundation will equip the fellows with the right theoretical acumen through 6 months of immersive classroom training and project work. This will be followed by 6 months of hands-on workplace immersion through internships at leading corporates and non-profits.

Benefits Of The Program

  • Fellowship will be awarded with a Certificate of Completion – “General Management Program” from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
  • A total stipend of Rs. 3,36,000 per fellow for the duration of the fellowship.
  • Mentorship from the top industry professionals, non-profits and LGBTQI+ leaders.

Eligibility

  • Transgender Youth between 18-25 years of age
  • Qualified Intermediate Exams (10+2)
  • Passion, curiosity and zeal to learn and grow

Program Design

Classroom Immersion
  • Academic Learning: Fellows will be exposed to various business subjects including operations, strategy, marketing, finance, social sensitivity, and workplace skills through classroom training and project work led by the faculty and mentors at TISS
  • Mentorship: Participants will be engaged with the Incubation Center at TISS, and the Review Committee will help to identify individual future goals and assess mentoring needs
  • Mode of Delivery: Hybrid*(Online/Offline)
  • Duration: 6 months
Corporate Immersion
  • Career Readiness: Fellows will be provided with constant mental, psychosocial support and career guidance from experienced LGBTQI+ professionals, corporate leadership, and non-profits
  • Internship: Fellows will be provided internships with leading corporates/NGOs to gain hands-on experience, multi-faceted exposure, and experiential learning
  • Mode of Delivery: Hybrid*(Online/Offline)
  • Duration: 6 months

Selection Process

  • The applicants will be shortlisted through an online process followed by a round of group discussions and personal interviews.
