Introduction:
This role is part of the Trust team within Wealth Operations, providing operational support to Private Bank India.
Responsibilities:
- Support Trust fiduciary services operation for products offered by Barclays Wealth Trust and PMS Operations.
- Ensure smooth execution of day-to-day tasks within the defined SLAs, minimizing errors and audit observations.
- Provide operational support throughout the Trust FO lifecycle, including client onboarding, transaction execution, beneficiary distribution, back-office system recording, and structure closures.
- Coordinate with external Tax Advisors, Trust Advisory Team, and Front Office to ensure timely recording of trade details and settlements.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of various Regulatory returns, Audits, and disclosure documents.
- Manage trusteeship billing and support escrow transactions.
- Conduct daily reconciliations for Trust accounts and report discrepancies to ORC.
- Support the setup of operational processes for new products and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to Risk Management, Control frameworks, AML guidelines, and ensure proper segregation of client money and assets.
Qualifications:
- Fair understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of securities markets (Equity, Bonds, MF & F&O), including transactions processing, reconciliations, corporate actions, and financial accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prepare reports and solve problems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum Post graduation.
- Strong control environment and risk management understanding.
- Strong business skills, including solution delivery and decision-making.
- Effective personal and interpersonal skills, including communication, influence, and collaboration.
- CA/ICWAI or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience supporting operations of Mutual Funds, Bonds, PMS products.
- Understanding of accounting principles, advance tax computation, TDS filings, income tax returns filing, and tax payments.
