Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental and social activities on project sites.
- Manage local stakeholders and maintain relationships with local environment and forest departments.
- Carry out local stakeholder assessments and analysis.
- Implement Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs at site locations.
- Support in implementing environment, waste, social, and community-related programs on site.
- Liaise for areas related to Environment and Social needs.
- Conduct environmental and social training at the site if needed.
- Promote an environmentally and socially sensitive culture consistent with Statkraft’s leadership ambitions.
- Ensure contractors adhere to Sustainability activities in accordance with regulations and contractual obligations.
- Ensure monthly reports from contractors provide necessary information on Sustainability matters.
- Ensure implementation of ISO 14001 Systems & processes.
- Other Sustainability-related responsibilities assigned by the ESG Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Preference for Environment or related areas)
- 4-5 years of Local community management experience (7-10 years of total experience preferred)
- Knowledge of laws and regulations for environment, village administrations, and development authorities in Rajasthan and India.
- Ability to work independently and form strong working relationships at local and state levels.
- Verbal and written fluency in Hindi AND Rajasthani / Mewari / Marwari / Wagdi / Dhundhari / Bhili.
- Willingness to travel across Rajasthan and other parts of India.
