Job Description:

EY is seeking a Senior Manager Consultant with expertise in Internal Audit to join their Consulting – Internal Audit team. In this role, you will lead client engagements related to risk-based Internal Audits, process and compliance reviews, and the development of Standard Operating Procedure Manuals.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management:

  • Understand the client’s business and related industry issues/trends.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the client and onshore client teams.
  • Maintain excellent rapport and proactive communication with the client.

Quality Delivery:

  • Independently execute internal audit engagements, collaborating with clients and onsite client teams.
  • Assist client and onsite client teams in defining the scope for internal audits, process reviews, and compliance reviews.
  • Identify process gaps and provide recommendations for improvement based on industry practices.
  • Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions and actions.
  • Communicate audit scope, protocol, status, issues, risks, and recommendations to the appropriate audience through written reports and presentations.
  • Manage multiple assignments and related project teams.
  • Ensure quality guidelines are met within established turnaround time or budget.
  • Monitor project progress and keep key stakeholders informed about progress and expected outcomes.
  • Apply a solution-based approach to problem-solving during client engagements.
  • Identify and escalate engagement-related risks on a timely basis.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members.

Operational:

  • Ensure compliance with the firm’s risk management strategies, plans, and activities.
  • Manage engagement budgets and support superiors in developing marketing collaterals, business proposals, and new solutions/methodologies.
  • Support engagement Senior Managers in planning and scheduling staff levels for engagements.

Market Leadership:

  • Participate in and support business development initiatives.
  • Support innovation initiatives to enhance existing solutions using emerging technologies like Robotics, AI, and Advanced Analytics.
  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership content and other innovation initiatives.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Exceptional command of spoken and written English.
  • Willingness to travel to onsite locations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and consulting skills.
  • Effective negotiation, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong academic background (degree in Business, Accounting, or similar; work experience in a similar industry, Big 4 preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS-Office Suite and data analysis/validation.

Qualifications:

  • CA or MBA (Master’s in business administration).
  • 2-5 years of Internal Audit experience with a consulting firm or in an Internal Audit department of an organization.
  • Technical experience in Finance, Operations, or Regulatory Compliance.
  • Knowledge of cross-functional business processes (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, etc.).
