About the Job
TERI is looking for a candidate in its energy vertical who has good communication and client handling skills along with curiosity to learn and open for traveling on need basis. Initial contract period is for 1 year and can be extended based on the performance.
- Perform tasks like data compilation, analysis and reporting that supports the building of the Indian Energy Efficiency database which is a centralized data on energy consumption and its drivers useful for the energy efficiency indicators.
- Extensive data research. Responsible for maintaining a large database of energy related data that must be updated regularly in assistance with Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
- Assist and support Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) in building the energy efficiency database for India through various identified energy efficiency indicators.
- Extract and manage data from various databases to measure energy efficiency at the national level that are further divided into socio-economic data, industry, transport, household, services and agriculture.
- Conduct stakeholder consultations with relevant ministries and institutions for the collection and compilation of energy efficiency database across all the major sectors of the economy.
- Estimation and collection of activity data that will be an input to the energy efficiency database.
- Assisting the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) in conducting G20 activities under the BRICS Energy Research Cooperation Platform.
- Organize internal and external meetings, stakeholder dialogues, workshops and other dissemination events.
- Interact with clients, liaising with government and non-government officials and other stakeholders at the national and sub-national levels.
Experience
- 3 – 4 years
Qualification
- Masters in Economics experience in economic analysis and modelling
Skills
- 2.5 to 3 years of minimum experience in energy/industry sector, academic and business research and consultancy
- Experience in consultancy, capacity building, and demand side management would be added advantage
- Aptitude for statistical analysis
- Attention to details
- Excellent English communication skills
- Report writing skills
- Well versed with MS office, especially in excel based modeling and analysis
