About the Position: Procurement Internship – Supply Sustainability
As a Procurement Intern reporting to the Procurement Manager for the Electrification business in Bangalore, India, you will play a crucial role in making a real impact on global projects. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with suppliers and colleagues across various departments to drive sustainability initiatives. Specifically, you will be involved in:
- Exploration of Sustainable Alternatives: Identify and screen alternative plastic raw materials for implementation in ABB Smart Buildings products.
- Evaluation and Recommendation: Assess factors such as cost, technical and environmental performance, and availability of potential materials. Provide recommendations in collaboration with procurement teams.
- CO2 Emission Monitoring: Contribute to the monitoring of CO2 emission projects and prepare KPI reporting.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on the fast-evolving field of sustainable plastics through market intelligence.
- Event Organization: Participate in the planning, preparation, and organization of external supplier events and cross-functional workshops.
Your Background:
- Ongoing or completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or sustainability-related studies.
- Strong interest in sustainability.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
- Collaborative mindset with a solution-focused approach.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
