About the Organisation
Ummeed, a premier non-profit organization for children with disabilities in India, was founded in 2001 by Dr. Vibha Krishnamurthy, a developmental pediatrician. Ummeed’s vision is to help children with developmental disabilities reach their full potential and be included in society, as an organization with over 100 committed professionals.
Over 19 years, Ummeed’s transdisciplinary team has directly worked with over 10,000 children and their families, and supported another 2,50,000 indirectly through its trainees from all parts of India.

- Manager/Senior Manager – Monitoring and Evaluation
- Manager/Senior Manager – Resource Mobilisation
- Senior Executive – Fundraising and Donor Management
Major responsibilities and information of the position are listed below:
1. Manager/Senior Manager – Monitoring and Evaluation
- Experience: 6 to 8 years work experience in the Monitoring and Evaluation / Research or Analytics from a reputed organization
- Location: Mumbai
- CTC Range: 10 to 14 lacs per annum
We are looking to add an integral member to lead the Monitoring and Evaluation team at Ummeed. This position would work closely with Ummeed’s leadership to implement evaluation studies from time to time, to test the effectiveness of its interventions and publish information about developmental disabilities and their impact and also support and lead junior team members in conducting regular monitoring and analyses of core data sets.
Some major responsibilities will include:
- Impact measurement for new/ existing projects
- Data monitoring and tracking
- Reporting and documentation

2. Manager/Senior Manager – Resource Mobilisation
- Experience: 8-10 years of rich experience in business development/ sales from a reputed organization.
- Location: Mumbai
- CTC Range: 10 to 14 lacs per annum
Ummeed’s donor database includes corporates, foundations, family offices, high net worth individuals [HNIs] and retail donors. As Ummeed seeks to scale its reach and impact over the next few years, there is a need to further diversify its donor base and modalities of fundraising, while sustaining trusted relationships with existing funders. This position will play a key role in enabling Ummeed’s future growth through expanding Ummeed’s donor network across donor categories and funding sources.
Some major responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with the COO and Ummeed’s senior team to define fundraising priorities, strategies, goals, and targets for each year
- Expand Ummeed’s donor network, including mapping, researching, and building connections with prospective and new donors
- Identify and execute event-based opportunities for fundraising and network building, including retail fundraising
3. Senior Executive – Fundraising and Donor Management
- Experience: 3-4 years of work experience in fundraising/ sales/ business development; all of which need not be in the not-for-profit sector
- Location: Mumbai
- CTC Range: 4 to 6 lacs per annum
Ummeed has been able to sustain its growth over the last few years through streamlined fundraising and donor management processes. As Ummeed’s budgets continue to grow, the organization is looking for a smart person to join the Fundraising and Donor Management team to handle the documentation needed for robust fundraising and donor relationship management (e.g., proposals, donor reports, etc.) and to support the coordination and logistics of this function.
Some major responsibilities will include:
- Understand Ummeed’s work and programs so as to be able to write them up in an impactful way
- Take the lead in writing initial drafts of proposals and their eventual finalization post internal reviews
- Work closely with the project and M&E team to gather program data with respect to activities, outputs outcomes, and impact, and draft interim and final donor reports based on this; finalize interim and final donor reports post internal reviews.
