What we’re looking for

iDC has partnerships with 15+ state governments, 20+ non-profit/CSR organizations and various private schools across India in helping them establish effective career guidance solutions for students. The Social Impact Team runs various kinds of career, college and scholarship programs with the support of our partners. Through these programs our vision is to create concrete impact and outcome for students from all strata of society. To measure these outcomes it is important to monitor and evaluate the program regularly.

As a Monitoring & Evaluation Associate (Social Impact Team), you will be responsible for developing a systematic monitoring & evaluation mechanism to improve the qualitative and quantitative evidence gathered for the programs. You will also provide technical support to the implementation team in relation to the overall M&E processes of all interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the implementation team in defining well-defined indicators and matrices for all interventions in the social impact team.
  • Follow the data collection systems using data collection tools to improve the process of data management at iDC.
  • Develop various templates and drafts in accordance with the M&E framework, for example, baseline, mid-term project review, impact assessment, final evaluation, monthly dashboard etc.
  • Collect data on a regular basis to measure achievement against the performance indicators.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain and collect data in a timely and structured manner.
  • Review the quality of existing data, improve the methods of collecting it, and analyze data for impact evaluation.
  • Provide the program managers with management information and miscellaneous reports they may require from time to time.
  • Produce reports on M&E findings and prepare presentations based on M&E data as required.
  • Compile mid-review reports, project completion reports and impact reports from impact data on a consistent basis.
  • Provide advice to the managers on improving project performance using M&E findings in a completely unbiased manner.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of M&E, MS Excel, google data studio, data tools, data visualization, macros, data analytics, power BI, python/R (advanced tools are not mandatory)
  • 1+ years minimum record in data management
  • A deep interest in working with small or large sets of data to bring about interesting insights from the numbers
  • Experience in planning and managing surveys, developing and refining data collection tools, data quality assessments and oversight.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in the education/ed-tech/social sector could be a plus
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence
  • Be willing to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them
  • Be open to receiving constructive feedback and turning it into process improvements
  • Education: No preferred degree but an educational background in economics, statistics, demographics, data science, public policy, mathematics or related fields might be an advantage.

Remuneration

  • Rs. 4-5 lakh annual CTC (depending on the experience)
