Our M&A service line, a joint venture between the Strategy & Corporate Finance and Organization practices, aims to achieve superior results in various M&A activities. Join us at our Gurugram office to play a crucial role in helping clients make strategic M&A decisions.

What You’ll Do:
As a part of the M&A Insights team, you’ll provide crucial support to clients, client teams, and M&A experts and leadership. Your responsibilities will include quantitative and qualitative analysis, research, and practice management. You’ll handle research requests related to M&A, joint ventures, divestitures, IPOs, and more. Your tasks will involve executing M&A target scans, conducting company research, and assessing valuation and synergy. Additionally, you’ll be the point of contact for proprietary databases.
You will:
- Help structure client questions and analyze data to provide valuable insights.
- Assist clients in developing internal capabilities for successful M&A strategies and execution.
- Contribute to proposal preparation and track client opportunities.
- Utilize McKinsey’s assets, such as SynergyLab and the M&A Hub, to deliver impactful solutions.
- Collaborate with the M&A knowledge team and practice leadership to build and share knowledge.
- Develop expertise in various M&A topics and contribute to internal learning curricula.
Qualifications:
- University degree with outstanding academic achievements; advanced degree a plus.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Strong interest in corporate finance concepts, including M&A, JV’s, Integrations, and divestitures.
- Intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, and willingness to take ownership and self-manage.
- High professional and ethical standards with respect for confidentiality.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of analytical tools like Alteryx, Tableau, R, Python, SQL is a plus.
- Strong service orientation and ability to manage workload effectively under pressure.
- Proactive approach to practice and team support.
- Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal.
