Job Responsibilities:

As a Business Analyst/Technology Product Owner, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and application development. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Translating business requirements into functional specifications and documenting them as JIRA initiatives, epics, and user stories.
  • Taking proactive measures to ensure JIRA hygiene and smooth project execution.
  • Collaborating closely with Subject Matter Experts to understand their current system usage and potential impacts of changes.
  • Acting as a liaison between the Business, Architecture, Development, and Testing teams throughout the project life cycle.
  • Representing the voice of the user to drive the product vision.
  • Facilitating and promoting user-focused solutions across the organization in support of the Product Owner and Area Product Owners.
  • Developing use cases and acceptance criteria to validate that delivered functionality meets business requirements.
  • Collaborating with Area Product Owners to identify and test applicable scenarios, resolve defects, and deliver a high-quality end-user product.
  • Assisting Product Owners and Area Product Owners in refining the product backlog and executing the product roadmap.
  • Supporting the development of business cases and reporting of OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technology Product Owner are preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different organizational levels.
  • Strong expectation management skills when dealing with various stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage shifting business priorities while working on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Solid ability to analyze complex system requirements and present findings in a clear and comprehensible manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in writing user stories.
  • Willingness and ability to continuously learn and apply new skills and knowledge.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles, including the use of Agile tools like Confluence and JIRA.
  • Familiarity with product backlog management and prioritization.
  • Experience working with globally distributed scrum teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle tight delivery timelines and remain composed under pressure.
