About the Role:

As a Community Intern, you will be the primary point of contact for our community, representing WeWork and ensuring a welcoming and collaborative environment for our members. You will work closely with the Community Management team to achieve our goals and support the smooth functioning of our spaces.

Goals and Objectives:

  • Illustrate WeWork’s core values and contribute to our mission.
  • Support the Community Management team in creating a collaborative community through events and fostering relationships between members.
  • Ensure the smooth operations of your building.
  • Drive growth and promote WeWork’s service offerings.
  • Provide support to the Community Team as needed, under the guidance of the Community Lead and Community Manager.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and Point of Contact:
  • Serve as the first and last point of contact for your building.
  • Cover the front desk during business hours.
  • Greet and check-in member guests.
  • Welcome people for tours, schedule and confirm tours, and track walk-ins.
  • Manage member check-ins and check-outs.
  • Distribute promotional materials to guests and potential members.
  • Respond to member and guest questions or refer them to appropriate resources.
  • Membership Management:
  • Work on community initiatives to foster member connections, including introductions, event support, and communications.
  • Resolve member-related issues to maintain a cohesive community.
  • Events and Community Management:
  • Assist with event set-up and breakdown.
  • Prepare newsletters.
  • Building Operations and Management:
  • Assist with move-ins and move-outs.
  • Support building operations and maintenance for an exceptional member experience.
  • Handle mail and package responsibilities as needed.
  • Identify issues for escalation to the Community Manager and maintain documentation.

Experience and Requirements:

  • College graduate preferred, but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy.
  • Passion for entrepreneurial communities.
  • Passion and understanding of WeWork’s mission and values.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills.
  • Customer service and/or sales experience is a plus.
