Job description:

  • 1-3 years’ work experience ESG research
  • This person will be a part of the research team and will report to ESG Fusion research lead

Tasks this person would do:

  • Research for ESG risk and Management Maturity as per the client commitment
  • Support creation of research structures (by region, sector, or topic) and procedures
  • Support research quality assurance processes
  • Maintain corresponding process documents
  • Building research guidelines for the ESG domain experts and research teams, support refinement of ESG scoring methodology / scoring calibration
  • Work closely with Data Services Analytics developers and support research and AI scoring
  • Work closely with broader ESG Fusion team, including subject matter experts
  • Provide research ideas to Fusion product owner and broader Fusion team
  • Create research efficiencies (AI, ML and human/manual)

Longer-term development areas:

  • Support framing the ESG Fusion narrative
  • Support expanding ESG Fusion functionalities/signals through adding Impact, Compliance, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, etc.
  • Represent ERM ESG Fusion at industry events
  • Become a leader in the ESG space.

Qualifications/Skills Needed:

  • Must have Advanced Business English oral and writing skills, as the company’s working language is English;
  • Competency in French, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, German highly desired, other language skills would be useful.
  • Subject matter expertise in ESG / Ratings / Private company data collection / M&A

Competencies that will need to be quickly attained to be effective in the role:

  • Sustainable Finance regulation (EU Taxonomy, SFDR) knowledge a plus
  • Understanding the investor/financing market and terminology a plus
  • Process oriented person and content/detailed thinker
  • Profound ESG Ratings Research expertise
