Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has been implementing large number of the national highway projects, and invites applications from the B.Tech/ M.Tech Civil Engineering students to work in different projects.
Duration
- The period of internship shall be minimum 3 months out of which minimum 12 weeks will be assigned to the contractor and consultant of a particular highway project. The interns will be made to learn through work.
Stipend
- The implementing agencies shall pay stipend at the rate of Rs 10,000/- per month to under graduate students and Rs 15,000/- per month to post-graduate students.
- The implementing agencies shall provide appropriate stay and transportation facility to the interns.
Eligibility
- Final year B. Tech/ M. Tech Civil Engineering students of IITs, NITs and Govt. Engineering Colleges shall be provided internship in highway projects/stand alone projects involving innovative bridges, tunnels & viaducts/elevated sections having length more than 2000 m, expressways and partially access controlled highways where cost of entire corridor projects is more than Rs. 2500 crores being implemented through different implementing agencies.
