Carnegie India produces high-quality public policy research about critical national, regional, and global issues.The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace opened Carnegie India, its sixth international center, in April 2016 in New Delhi. As with Carnegie’s centers in Beijing, Beirut, Brussels, Moscow, and Washington, Carnegie India is staffed and led by local experts who will collaborate extensively with colleagues around the world.

About the Internship

Carnegie India is seeking 1-2 program and research interns, with a background in public policy or law to work for a period of six months.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Interns may be assigned administrative, editorial, research, writing, or organizational tasks to provide overall support to Carnegie India’s Technology and Society program.
  • Interns will also assist scholars on ongoing projects, background research, and events.
  • Responsibilities may include research assistance on issues relating to cryptocurrency, space policy, data governance, encryption, digital privacy, FinTech, and semiconductor supply chains.

Eligibility

Ideal candidates must:

  • Be a recent graduate
  • Have an excellent verbal and written command of English
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Strong interest in technology policy and law.
  • The ability to be an enthusiastic and creative team player while working both independently and collaboratively.

Location

  • In view of the pandemic, at present, the internship will be virtual.

Perks and Remuneration

  • Interns are provided a stipend.
