The BCN plays a critical role in supporting Bain’s case teams globally to help with analytics, research and knowledge management across all industries – for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property. 

About the Opportunity

Act as a key member of BCN staffing, working closely with the Staffing, Case Team Managers and Finance teams. The incumbent will be helping in maintaining up-to-date staffing reporting for BCN.

Roles and Responsibilities

This role involves supporting the staffing operations by owing the reporting, analysis and maintenance of staffing information from suite of proprietary Human Capital Systems for the BCN offices – and closely support the business operations and financial tracking.

  • Manage staffing processes and databases to a high level of accuracy, including data consolidating and cleaning, owning a variety of monthly staffing reports
  • Staffing Reporting and Visibility
    • Provide support to staffing manager in capturing case level information and resource allocation 
    • Resource mapping at CoE/Team/Manager level to calculate the utilization metrics
    • Identifying gaps and coordinating with managers to reconcile and update the system
  • Gathering customer feedback for Case teams and reporting records at different levels
  • Respond to ad hoc staffing information requests at local and global levels (as required)
  • Creating models to improve efficiency and identifying any billing leakages as per staffing records
  • Execute zero-defect analysis of Human Capital data and develop presentations to communicate findings on Human Capital metrics, trends and variances

Eligibility

  • Graduate/MBA degree with high academic achievement or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required. 
  • Ability to work productively both independently and as an integral member of various teams. 
  • Strong analytical capabilities 
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to generate insights 
  • Ability to synthesize analysis, recommend actions and prioritize next steps 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Excel required (for example Pivot Tables)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills 
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Solid organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail 
  • Strong process skills of follow up and follow through 
  • Superior judgment when dealing with highly confidential information 
  • Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with the highest levels of professionalism
