Responsibilities of the Intern:
- Involve in the entire software development life cycle, including designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications
- Work with large-scale, complex systems and utilize various programming languages and technologies
- Contribute to the architectural decisions and design choices that impact the performance and reliability of Google’s software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers
- Be responsible for writing unit tests, conducting code reviews, and ensuring that the software meets high-quality standards
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience in software development in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently
- Returning to a degree program after completion of the internship
- Experience in systems software or algorithms.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux or Windows environments and APIs
- Familiarity with TCP/IP and network programming.
- Excellent implementation skills (e.g., C++, Java, Python)
