Next Innings is a unique internship program that provides an opportunity for women who have taken a break from the workforce, to return back and gently ease back into the workforce under the guidance of experienced leaders.
Selected candidates will be working on core technologies in Google Cloud and have a chance to contribute to the various services on Google Cloud. They will be able to learn from the experts in the area and experience the product development in Google.

Eligibility
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of relevant developing work experience.
- Experience working in software development with one or more of the following programming languages; Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, Angular and/or Go
- 1 or more years of break from work.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree, or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with user-interface design.
- Experience working with front-end technologies and/or front-end frameworks.
- Background in computer science, with a focus on data structures, algorithms, and API design.
- Ability to learn other coding languages.
- Demonstrated ability to share knowledge via formal mentoring, reviewing code, reviewing design documents, providing technical talks, teaching classes, or as a consultant on projects.
Responsibilities
- Work with a talented team of software engineers to design and build the services, applications, and tools to enable customers to build their solutions on Google Cloud using the various technologies in Google Cloud.
- Work on some of, and not limited to, the following specific technologies: Google Cloud Storage, Data Analytics, Cloud Security, Application management platform. Learn how to build services on top of the Google cloud technology stack which has evolved over decades of innovation and works at unparalleled scale.
- Have the opportunity to build and deliver core services and products that will enable many enterprises to fundamentally re-think how their business is run on the cloud.
