About Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs India

Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs India is a forum for interesting early stage companies who are looking to raise funds from Stanford alums. It is not a fund, does not do crowd-sourced fundraising and nor does it provide any investment advice or recommendations. Any due diligence, negotiation or investment activity conducted by members or officers of SA&E is conducted solely as an individual of their own accord as an accredited investor, not as an officer or representative of SA&E, Stanford University, or Stanford Alumni Association. 

The forum has helped facilitate over 25 investments in 5 years for its members, including Unacademy, Pixxel, Terra.do, amongst many others.

Fellowship

The SA&E India Fellow role is designed for you to contribute to the thriving investing activities of the forum. As our fellow, you will work directly with the SA&E Deal Flow team and report to the President of the Club. In the past fellows have gone on to start their own companies or attend graduate schools at prestigious institutions such as Stanford, Oxford, INSEAD and MIT.

Location

  • Work from Home

Role: 

  1. Overseeing and managing the overall deal-flow process
  2. Supporting the members of the Deal team on evaluation of potential investments by interfacing with companies and founders, and drafting internal investment memos
  3. Organizing and overseeing monthly / quarterly pitch days
  4. Contributing to improve processes and efficiency of the SA&E team 
  5. Manage new interns that join SA&E India

Requirements:

  1. 2-3 years of work experience post completion of undergraduate degree in the following relevant sectors:
    • Worked with a startup in any operational or technology function
    • Venture capital
    • Investment banking or consulting 
  2. Passion for and understanding of the Indian technology landscape
    • Interest in and / or understanding of any sector/s of interest (consumer, Saas, b2b, clean-tech, deep-tech…)
  3. 1 year minimum commitment
    • A minimum of 4-6 hours per week time commitment
