Job Description
The role is responsible for supporting the communications with Indian & Sri Lankan suppliers, implementation of Environmental Sustainability programs, standards, projects and administration of the Environmental Sustainability Manager’s programme activities in line with Primark’s Global Environmental Strategy.
Job Responsibilities
Monitoring & Assessment
- Collecting and mapping information on production supply chain
- Collecting and mapping information on ES Commitment & Guidelines
- Support ES Team in the achievement of Chemical management KPI’s
- Reporting on supplier communications, site visits, audits and case studies
- Provide support on completion of the HIGG index Module to suppliers and factories
- Maintain and increase the connection with supply base on the HIGG platform.
- Support ES Manager on Waste Mapping
- Contributes to the on-going development of the company’s Environmental Strategy, providing insight, advice and solutions direct from the supply base
- Maintain highest degree of integrity in all operations and at all times
- Conduct on Site assessment in line with Global Environmental requirement.
- Collate, collect & conduct analysis on site assessment data
- Regularly monitor the supplier list on HIGG index & HIGG Adoption Toolkit
Team Collaboration:
- Effective use of database and other tools to track, analyse and report performance to metrics
- Work closely with a diverse team of skilled professionals to implement the environmental sustainability programme as an integrated ET programme
- Ensure compliance with ABF Red Book
Internal Engagement:
- Engage across all departments and levels with confidence and gravitas
- Maintain a good user relationship with social & project teams
- Maintains a close network with other environmental team members
- Actively participate in internal team meetings
Reporting & Data:
- Reports on supplier communications, site visits, audits and case studies
- Provide support on HIGG FEM registration, data collection & analysis
- Managing data and remediation actions for Suppliers as provided by Environmental Manager
- Provides frequent reporting on progress related to supply chain performance and projects, ensure security of data and integrity of information used and shared concerning the environmental sustainability programme
- Provide the business with information regarding environmental sustainability in the region including case studies, information relating to NGO or media campaigns, and other ad-hoc requests
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Experience in environmental and/or chemicals management
- University / professional qualification: environmental, chemical, industrial production engineer chemistry or related studies
- Good knowledge on effluent treatment plant, hazardous & waste management,
- Knowledge on 14001 will be an added value
- IT literate (database, spreadsheets)
