Responsibilities of the Intern:
- Guide developers in choosing the right database, based on the application use-case
- Help transform business and application requirements into scalable data models
- Provision and manage database instances, including replication setups
- Create RCA ( Root Cause Analysis) and resolve database related issues
- Be involved in capacity planning to support periodic campaigns related to scale
- Plan, design, and implement systems for HA, including backups and DR
- Help identify and close security, automation, and process gaps
Requirements:
- 0-6 months of experience and an interest in managing large, complex database infrastructure deployments
- an interest in managing highly compliant financial services infrastructure and ensuring the continuance of compliance against PCI-DSS, ISO:27001:2013, Data-Localization (RBI), and NPCI guidelines
- Curiosity to learn and understand the ecosystem around microservice architecture with regards to the choice of datastores, deployment topologies, schema design, query tuning, HA, and monitoring
- Learn/ Work with MySQL,PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Aerospike, Scylla, TimeScaleDB, Percona tools,AWS RDS/Aurora and other cloud technologies and open source tools.
