Spotify India is looking for a Data Analyst as part of our Insights team, to help us out with the growing complexity of internal data analytics projects

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Support the cross-functional team of strategy, marketing, BD, music and podcasts with their data analytics needs
  • Create internal dashboards / datasets on content consumption and audiences, critical to Spotify’s growth in India
  • Implement established experimentation techniques in close coordination with stakeholders
  • Automate measurement and analyses at market level to increase efficiency of insights utilization across the business
  • Analyze user behavior on Spotify to identify new growth areas by evaluating and forecasting their potential for growth impact
  • Transform raw data into scalable, performant data models that would be consumed by data analysts and data scientists.
  • Maintain a culture of rigor and data curiosity across the team by striving to make the cross-functional team as data-driven as possible

Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics or a similar field
  • At least 3 years of experience with mixed data skill sets and approaches (analytics tools and data science); experience with product focused data science for a consumer facing tech company preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, including analysis /modeling, statistics, A/B testing, experimental design and automation
  • Basic understanding of modeling techniques (e.g. regression models, clustering, classification, causal inference, etc)
  • Strong SQL/Bigquery skills and intermediate programmatic expertise, in either of Python or R
  • Proficiency in data principles, system and data architecture, and dimensional data modeling
  • Experience with BI tools like Tableau/Looker
  • You have the capacity and passion to translate business objectives into actionable analyses and results into business recommendations
  • You’re an effective communicator
  • Experience with growth marketing, app/web platforms and analytics
  • A highly motivated and flexible individual with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and deliver quality outputs
