About Carnegie India
Carnegie India, the sixth international center of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, opened in April 2016 in New Delhi. As with Carnegie’s centers in Beijing, Beirut, Brussels, Moscow, and Washington, Carnegie India is staffed and led by local experts who will collaborate extensively with colleagues around the world.
Internships at Carnegie India
Carnegie India offers three- to twelve-month internships to support the center’s scholars and programs. Interns are an integral part of Carnegie’s growing global network, which includes offices in Beijing, Beirut, Brussels, Moscow, New Delhi, and Washington.
Interns are provided a stipend. Carnegie India is not able to provide information on possible external sources of funding or provide assistance for visa-related matters. Applicants are advised to check with their academic institutions for information about available sources of internship funding.
Position: Communications and Development Intern
Carnegie India is seeking communications and development interns, with a background in mass communication or journalism to work for a period of six months.
The interns will work closely with the communications team to update the Carnegie India website, assist in coordinating events across programs, manage the center database, and help create social media marketing materials. The interns will also help execute all communications-related functions at our flagship event, The Global Technology Summit.
The interns will also work closely with the development team to maintain and update a database, ensure regular and curated outreach, assist with day-to-day operations, help design, and curate project/program campaigns.
The ideal candidates should possess strong computer skills, with knowledge of HTML and Content Management System (CMS), have experience working on Canva, a strong aptitude for social media, and an ability to handle multiple tasks/assignments at the same time. Strong writing and editing skills are a must.
- This is a full-time in-person internship.

- Be a recent graduate
- Have an excellent verbal and written command of English
