Introduction:

The Centre for Social Justice (CSJ), a socio-legal Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), was initiated by the Institute for Development Education and Learning (IDEAL). Pioneering its kind in India, CSJ employs the judicial system to champion the rights of marginalized individuals and communities.

CSJ commenced operations via a network of law centers in Gujarat in 1993 and has since expanded to multiple states, including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. With nearly 3,000 cases addressed annually, CSJ’s dedicated team of lawyers, paralegals, and researchers works tirelessly to secure the rights of women, Dalits, tribals, and other vulnerable groups.
